1 I'm not really sure about this line... ^_^;
2 "Abura wo uru" literally means "to sell oil," but its intended meaning is "to waste time (during work)." During the Edo period, when oil lamps were used, oil was sold from barrels. When the oil level in the barrels got low, it would take longer to fill cruets, so sellers would chat with customers to pass the time. (Thanks to this Spanish site for the historical information about the phrase)
