{Author - Miho Obana}

Miho Obana's debut as a manga-ka came in 1991 with the publication of her short story "Mado No Mukou" ("On The Other Side Of The Window") in Ribon. In the past, she has mostly written shorter stories and series, but after working on Kodomo No Omocha (her longest work by far) from 1994 to 1998, she followed up with two longer series (in addition to shorter stories). They are Partner (sci-fi horror/romance) and Andante (drama/romance). Her latest work, called "Pochi" (not the same as the short story included in the Mizu No Yatata tankoubon), started its run in Ribon in May of 2003.

Kodomo No Omocha has been Miho Obana's most popular work to date and so far the only one to be animated.

Since one of her talents is playing the alto saxophone (something she shares with Mei from Andante), she sometimes shows up with her sax in the Kodocha anime. She actually appears a few times, usually saying no more than "O… obana desu" (I'm Obana).
